TEACHING
Knowing much about games, their design and the way they work is good. But it's even better to share that knowledge with the next generation of game developers!

Coaching
Regular project-coachings give student-teams structure and help them focus on their goals. As a coach, my job is not telling them what to do, it's to help them achieve their own goals.

Lectures
Game-history, MDA-framework, feedback loops, a bit of game theory - all that is part of my steadily growing repertoire of lectures I hold at various instutions.

Electives
Electives are best for going in-depth: I help courses on all aspects of Final Fantasy V, on games and weird literature, on the games and hardware of the PlayStation 2 and many more.

Hochschule Darmstadt h_da
The Animation & Game course at Hochschule Darmstadt h_da takes up by far the biggest part of my teaching-activities. I do coaching, lectures and electives there, sometimes also exercises. I also established the very well regarded "wednesday-talks" with my colleague Stephan Jacob.

SAE Institute Frankfurt
At SAE Frankfurt, I hold regular on-campus-events about projects, paper-prototyping and storytelling. Remote, I teach the fundamentals of game design, a course that is frequented by SAE-students all over the German-speaking parts of Europe.

Hochschule Fresenius
At Hochschule Fresenius, I teach game design fundamentals, but also game history, the game industry and more. I also arrange excursions to local developers or escape rooms to show the students practical applications of the stuff they learn.
