WRITING
About 50% of my day-job is writing about games - in magazines, in books and other media. From the evergreens - preview, reviews and their like to big features on interesting series, developers or current gaming-discourse or phenomena like motion sickness - anything is fair game!

BOOKS
Magazines are fun, but a nice, thick tome full of pictures and knowledge certainly has its charme!
So far, three Pixelbooks have been released. I´ve been a supporter for the first (SNES) and the third (GBA) one, but I really did a TON of work on the second one - the Mega Drive book is very dear to my heart. But while the SNES and the GBA-book are available in english, you can get the Mega Drive book only in German.
Get the German books here and the English ones here!
Oh, and I also contributed to the wonderful Guide to Japanese Role Playing Games. Why not take a look?
M! Games
Around since 1993: Germany's oldest surviving console-gaming magazine!
Releasing an issue each month, the brave M! Games crew not only does their best to review as many games as possible, there's also always a huge extended-section that goes in-depth in many different subjects: Fun-subjects like classic gaming, business-news likecompany-mergers and acquisitions or important matters like the recent flood of "hentai"-games flooding Nintendo's eshop.
As an independant magazine, M! Games can operate as the editors see fit and are neither beholden to shareholders, nor large corporations.
So of course every sold issue, every subscription counts - if you're in German (or speak German), why not support us?

AnimaniA
This is where I got my start in professional writing!
While I'm not really into anime these days, I always enjoy contributing to the video-game-pages of Germany's first ever magazine on anime and manga.
After all, I got my start in writing when I convinced the editors in the late 90s to put some pages about games into the magazine. After all, people who like Neon Genesis Evangelion or Magic Knight Rayearth might also be into Final Fantasy, Grandia and Dragon Quest..!
Audio Only
Podcasting
Apart from my writing, I'm also a somewhat regular guests in the popular US-podcast Retronauts - together with luminaries such as Stuart Gipp, Diamond Feit, John Linneman or Audi Sorlie, I'm talking about all manner of classic games!
